On 11 Dec 1968 just after midnight, J&Y appeared live on the radio program "Night Ride" to promote Two Virgins, hosted by David Peel.
On 3 Jan 1969, Newark, NJ police seized 30,000 copies of Two Virgins, declaring the cover pornographic.
On 25 Jan 1969, Two Virgins was banned in Union County, NJ and Cleaveland, OH. Police in Monutainside, NJ seized 20,000 copies of the album.
The album came in a brown paper sleeve to cover the nude cover. Original pressings were sealed with a white circular sticker. This can often be used to distinguish an original from a bootleg, as it was a highly bootlegged release.
